Honda Bay (Puerto Princesa, Palawan)

Tips
Honda Bay is 10km north of Puerto Princesa by road and makes a good day-trip, though you can also stay overnight. There are seven islands in the bay, and you can visit them all by hiring a boat from Santa Lourdes Wharf. Snake Island has a good reef for snorkelling and Starfish Island has a rustic restaurant where the seafood is as fresh as it comes. Look out for Bat Island : in the late afternoon scores of bats leave here on their nocturnal hunting trips.
How to go there
Any jeepney or bus going north from Puerto Princesa will take you to Honda Bay. You'll need to get off at Santa Lourdes Wharf (this may involve a tricycle ride from where the bus or jeepney leaves you) and sign in at the little tourist office and book your banca. A boat cost will depends
on which island you plan to visit and for how long. Some islands ask visitors to pay a 40 pesos

Underground River Palawan

How to get there

To go to Puerto Princesa you can do it either by sea ( Negros Navigation) or by air (PAL / Cebu Pacific)

It is located in the West Coast of Palawan, 81 km north of Puerto Princesa City. To get there you need only to catch a ride going to Sabang from Puerto Princesa, but if you want a more comfortable way to get there it is much advisable to hire a van to go there and if you got numbers in your group it is better para marami ang maghahati-hati para cheaper.A motorized bangka is needed to go to the beach front of the underground river, from the beach front , you will only need to walk for 5 minutes through the forest, but dont worry there is a man made wooden path for tourist for easier walking.

Tips

Public Jeepneys are leaving for Sabang at the new Bus Terminal. It is better to be early at the Terminal. The best time to travel this route is to take the 7 am Jeepney. Until around 3 pm several Jeepneys and buses are departing for Sabang. Plus please observe proper disposal of trash. The place is safe and clean. There is no store at the underground river, so better bring your own water and food. There are also picnic tables where you can do your lunch.

Kubli Springs

How to go there
Kubli Springs is located at Dolores, Quezon. to go there you need to catch a bus ride going to Lucena or San Pablo Laguna (JAM transit at buendia) You either can go down at San Pablo, where you can ride a jeepney going to Dolores or at San Ignacio (at the Bato springs resort sign). Upon arriving Dolores you can the arrange a trike ride going to Kubli.

You will notice a rock mining facility when your near the springs, The trek is very minimal but the terrain can be very slippery. They say that the water is potable, but to be sure bring your own. Afterall there are many stores nearby before you get to ride the trike.

As of June 3, 2007
  • the Bus fare from buendia to San Pablo is 112 to 120 depends on the bus line
  • Jeepney fare from San Pablo to Dolores 16 pesos

Tips

Going to Dolores Quezon is okay any month just make sure there is no typhoon. Plus make sure to visit Kinabuhayan Cafe and have lunch or breakfast there. A picnic at kubli springs is very ideal but I have no idea if they allowed people to camp there.
